| Music Ministry |
| Worship in the Moravian tradition has strong emphasis on a rich musical heritage. Chorales and hymns reflect the staunch faith of the Moravian Church and the creativity of the eighteenth century pietists. The Moravian Music Foundation has uncovered a treasury of early American Moravian music in the church archives and attics of Moravian churches. Trombone choirs or brass bands traditionally play for festivals of the church in many congregations. |
| Choir |
| Choir practice has just started again for the season. You don't need to be able to read music, just have a song in your heart and the ability to carry a tune in a bucket (bucket not included). We practice on Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00.
The choir at Church of the Redeemer ministers by providing anthems to support the theme and/or scriptures for the Sunday worship service and other occasional service music (introits, benedictions, etc.) on most Sundays from September through May. The choir offers music from a range of styles and periods from Bach and Handel to spirituals and hymn-based anthems to contemporary Christian literature. Instrumentalists from the congregation frequently accompany the choir. No audition is required. All ages are welcomed! |

| Band |
| If you are interested in praising God with your musical instrument and having fun, we encourage you to join the band. We will have band rehearsals on Sundays after lunch twice a month (alternating with youth fellowship). Anyone senior high through adult is welcome. The intention is to play once a month during worship. Please contact David Blum, Choir Director, and let him know what instrument you play so he can be sure to have music ready for you.
